P-TAL aims to revive the dying crafts of the Amritsar indigenous Thatheras community, which is characterized by practicing the only UNESCO-registered crafts in India. Jandiala Guru's Thatheras is a community of skilled craftsmen who specialize in the traditional techniques of driving brass and copper sheets into traditional tools. This craft colony of Jandiala Guru was founded during the reign of Maharaja Ranjit Singh (1883), a great Sikh monarch of the 19th century. He encouraged skilled Kashmir artisans to settle in the center of the Punjab kingdom. P-TAL aims to revitalize the debilitated crafts of Thateras throughout India through three approaches: the institutionalization of craftsmen, design development and education, and access to the market with the latest technology.

Why we should use pital bartan?

Brass is a staple in our tradition for a reason. It reduces burning and agitation, raises haemoglobin levels, and improves the condition of your skin overall. Moreover, our P-Tal Utensils are perfect for religious events as brass is a metal highly sought-after in our cultural traditions in India. Keeping food in Brass utensils reacts with the metal and helps increase melanin after consumption. Moreover, this keeps the skin healthy and protects it from UV rays as well. Moreover, it helps with combating respiratory ailments such as asthma.

Is pital utensils good for cooking?

According to Ayurveda, cooking in the appropriate vessels might actually improve your health. Our traditional p-tal utensils online will cook your food faster than other metal utensils because brass is a good conductor of heat. These old-fashioned utensils are known to hold therapeutic benefits, whether you use them for cooking or eating your meals, despite the fact that a modern lifestyle has led us to shift towards more conventional materials such as steel, glass, or non-stick cookware.

How do you make pital shine?

Combine 1/2 cup vinegar with 1 teaspoon salt, then add enough flour to make a paste. Rub the brass with a cloth, and let it sit for ten minutes, after which rinse and buff it dry. Another method involves squeezing half a lemon onto a sponge and topping it with salt. The surface should be scrubbed with a sponge, followed by rinsing. Nonetheless, conventional store-bought brass polish and clearance can also be used on all our hand-hammered p-tal bartan online.
