Khatri Bhilal Indrish
The 180 years of tradition of Ajrakh Block Printing in Khavda, Kutch has been bestowed upon the only family of Khatri Bhilal Indrish and three brothers that have been crafting over 20 Years. What started as a service to craft authentic Kutchi wear such as Maleer and Ghaghras for the communities around their family, has adapted to a modern twist post the earthquake in 2001. Traditional Ajrakh Riyaal is Bhilal’s favourite musing. With a desire to continue propagating their craft in Khavda, Bhilal Indrish is hopeful that his children will take the craft further.
