Fine quality pure handwoven kota doria silk cotton dupatta by Hasina Banu. Kota doria is a blend of strong cotton and lustrous silk yarns. The Doria or the threads are finely interweaves to make the check patterns. Its lightweight and sheer texture giving an exquisite grace and elegance of its own.
Hasina Banu is a weaver from Kota Mahila Bunkar Sansthan or Kota Women Weavers Organization (KWWO), Hasina Banu has been working under this organisation for the last 15 years. Her family has been practicing this craft for the last 40-50 years and she has learnt the Kota Doria weaving from her mother. She makes exclusive Kota Doria sarees and dupattas in pure cotton + silk, silk, silk + zari.

The Kota Women Weavers Organisation was set up in 2005 to empower the women weavers in the Kota Doria cluster in Kaithoon near Kota in S. E. Rajasthan and to enable them to produce and sell on their own accounts without having to work for minimal wages for the Master Weavers. The Kota Doria weavers are authorised to use the registered Geographical Indication (G.I.) mark on their saris and every genuine hand woven Kota Doria sari includes the G I mark woven into it guaranteeing real cotton and silk and real zari.
