    FAQ

Baskets are made for a variety of uses, including food gathering and storage, furniture, clothing, and ceremonial use.

The basic process of making a basket is to carefully weave strands of fibers together to create a round shape. A simple spool basket starts with a thick piece of fiber in the shape of a main spool, and thinner, more flexible fibers are woven around it.

Baskets are made of natural materials such as willow and other tree branches, vines, and grass. Other materials include sticks, long flat strips of fibrous plant kernels, and reeds or broadleaf grasses.

Clean the wicker basket with a damp microfiber cloth, being careful to penetrate the cloth and touch the bottom of the basket.Wipe the basket with a new microfiber cloth or let it air dry. Make sure the wicker is completely dry before putting the item back inside.
