Madhubani - Mithila Painting (also called Madhubani art or Mithila painting) is practiced in the Mithila region of India. Painting is done with fingers, twigs, brushes, nib-pens, and matchsticks, using fabric colours, and is characterised by eye-catching geometrical patterns. Kota doria is a blend of strong cotton and lustrous silk yarns, Kota doria is an age-old Indian textile produced in the Kota district of Rajasthan. The Doria or the threads are finely interweaves to make the check patterns. Its lightweight and sheer texture giving an exquisite grace and elegance of its own.

It is an initiative to work mainly with women artisans from both rural and urban areas who have no or little access to the mainstream market. Being a woman entrepreneur, she feel that they need to empower women artisans economically so that they can redefine social relations in their own favor. The team of 60 people includes artists, weavers, artisans, tailors and growers.
