Intricately crafted god idol handmade using whole rice seeds (paddy) by Sri Hare Krushna Nayak from Odisha. Paddy, which is rice with husk, is first treated with Araldite gum. After that, the grains are beautifully sewn in symmetric patterns. It is a very painstaking craft practiced in some parts of Odisha i.e., Balasore, Bolangir, Koraput and Kalahandi. This magnificent piece of art is the result of minute detail and painstaking attention. Lord Ganesha represents joy and happiness which is a symbol of bringing prosperity and good fortune. Ganesha is widely revered as the remover of obstacles and generally the god of any beginning. And also called the God of arts and sciences, and the god of wisdom and knowledge. Note : This idol comes with a modak making mould.
