Brand | Miharu is a social enterprise which works with Dhokra artisans of West Bengal. Founded by fashion designer Parul Bajoria, it makes contemporary products based on traditional craft techniques. Miharu is based in Durgapur, Paschim Bardhaman district, West Bengal. It works with artisans and craft-based organizations in Bardhaman and Bankura districts. The ancient craft of Dhokra, also known as the lost wax technique, is found in small scattered pockets. Miharu works directly with craftspersons practising the craft. The Miharu design studio designs contemporary jewellery and functional lifestyle products, which are then produced by artisans using their traditional methods. Final finishing is done at the Miharu studio. Additionally, the organization has trained women artisans who do thread work for jewellery and accessories, adding decoration and colour to the brass products. Miharu’s marketing through its own online store as also other e-commerce platforms have ensured that it is able to provide sustained year-round work to its artisan partners. |

For those of you using a 44-inch wide fabric, this guide suggests measurements for a standard L Size. Think of this as your starting point. If you're working with different sizes or fabric widths, just adjust up or down accordingly. Hope this helps!
When it comes to how much fabric you'll need, it really depends on the design. We'd recommend having a chat with your designer or tailor before you order, just to be on the safe side.
