Fine hand painted kalamkari pen work cotton fabric wall hanging scroll. This exquisite scroll is created with Srikalahasti style of kalamkari, wherein the "kalam" or pen is used for free hand drawing of the subject and filling in the colours. It is entirely hand-worked using natural colours. Kalamkari in Srikalahasti has been around for approximately 200 years. Unlike other places where this particular craft is practiced, artists in Srikalahasti retain the ancient techniques of dyeing which have been passed down from generations. As it is hand-painted/handcrafted, colour spread and irregularity in design is common, hence it won't be considered as damaged or defective.
Dry clean only.
Slight difference in colour from the visible product image is possible. Read more.
