Zardoziis a traditional textile decorative from Lucknow. Zardozi is form of embroidery that came to India from Persia. Its literal translation, “zar” meaning gold and “dozi” meaning embroidery, refers to the process of using metallic-bound threads to sew embellishment on to various fabrics. Zardozi embroidery work involves making elaborate designs, using gold and silver threads. Further adding to the magnificence of the work are the studded pearls and precious stones.

Furthermore, the organisation helps in increasing the livelihood of women in villages by teaching them how to build handicrafts and getting paid for the same. While the mission of our brand is “to give artisans their due,” our vision is to “take Awadhi embroidery to a whole new level, wherein artisans come, learn and earn.”
