Brand EkiBeki is a hybrid social enterprise that works to preserve the rich craft heritage of India and promote traditional arts and crafts in contemporary forms. Our products are hand crafted by the talented artisans living in small remote villages of India. Due to modernization and lack of patronage, many Indian handicrafts are on the verge of extinction and are rapidly getting replaced by artificial, cheap and imitation products. At EkiBeki, our vision is to revive the folk arts and crafts of India and help generate sustainable livelihoods for artisans with a special focus on rural women and youth. Through design interventions, capacity building, market development and creation of self- governing mechanisms, we aim to help the artisans grow the community craft clusters in their natural habitat.
