Ahir embroidery done on this beautiful soft cross body bag. Made up of silk fabric with hand embroidered mirror work done by craftswoman in Kutch region of Gujarat. It has one zipper & one simple pocket inside. Artisanal Community : Ahir
Ahir embroidery is mostly bold and their motifs are geometric shapes, floral patterns, animals and birds. Their embroidery also has Krishna motifs. Their style predominantly has an outline called Sankdi around the mirrors with filling stiches called Vano. Characteristically, Ahir embroidery has round mirrors. Yadavas are known as Ahirs in Gujarat. Legend goes that, of the followers of Lord Krishna who left with him from Mathura for Saurashtra, some Ahirs settled down in the Vagad region of Kutch. Qasab was set up as an initiative in 1997 to revitalise the embroidery craft of Kutch and reposition its cultural diversity by designing a business model that could not only create sustainable livelihood opportunities for embroidery craftswomen in the remote areas of Kutch, but also become a platform for them to express their creativity. Qasab in Kutchi means craft skill. The Producer Company ensures that the artisans earn a dignified income and these creators of such exquisite embroidery secure monetary benefits that are rightly theirs. Qasab has been formally structured and registered as a Producer Company owned by traditional craftswomen. It is a collective,socio-cultural enterprise comprising 1,200 rural master craftswomen from 11 ethnic communities spread across 62 villages in the arid interiors of Kutch. It has been for the last seventeen years re-interpreting and re-positioning the traditional embroideries of Kutch, building on the styles of each of the communities associated with the producer company.
Established in 1997, Qasab not only makes a sustainable livelihood for embroidery craftsmen in remote areas of Kutch but also activates Kutch's embroidery craft and its cultural diversity by designing a business model that provides a platform for them to express themselves. Qasab is known for its exceptional quality of genuine cutch embroidery, appliqués, and patchwork products. This is a traditional motif that reflects the cultural identity of each community in contemporary design through the highest quality items. The main approach is to emphasize the clear and unique identity of each ethnic group and its embroidery style through works of art. This allows beautiful works to be more recognizable than just labeled as common embroidery.

For those of you using a 44-inch wide fabric, this guide suggests measurements for a standard L Size. Think of this as your starting point. If you're working with different sizes or fabric widths, just adjust up or down accordingly. Hope this helps!
When it comes to how much fabric you'll need, it really depends on the design. We'd recommend having a chat with your designer or tailor before you order, just to be on the safe side.

FAQ
The shoulder bag is small enough to fit comfortably under your arm and is designed to carry all your essentials (purse, lipstick, sunglasses, phone, etc) all day long.
You should regularly move your bag from your left hand to your right hand or shoulder. Putting too much weight on one side of the body for a long period of time causes the spine to bend, causing symptoms of back pain.
Perhaps the first difference between a handbag and a shoulder bag is the size, and that's what people think of first when talking about it. Another difference is in the number of straps, and although a shoulder bag can sometimes have two, it usually has one, while a handbag has two.
