    Shradhanjali is a craft unit in Auroville. Shradhanjali ("Offering of Faith") was founded in 1980 by two young Indian women who dreamed of making beautiful crafts and bringing a much-needed income to Auroville. From growing the plants to harvesting, drying, decorative packaging, and final packaging, every step of the production process is done by hand using environmentally friendly methods. Our products are made from recycled handmade paper by recycling cotton rags along with other natural fibers.

    Working with the beauty that nature provides Shradhanjali is committed to using environmental friendly processes and techniques. Their working space is equipped with solar energy, wastewater is recycled for the garden  and rainwater is harvested. The flowers and plants that are used in their products are grown in the garden of Shradhanjali in organic manure. The flowers are handpicked every day and dried in cardboard presses by hand. Seeds and seedpods are harvested seasonally and sun dried.
